A Program Manager at Velocity Squared manages the software and not the people. That means you'll be working closely with our customers -- on both client work and packaged software products -- identifying and documenting their needs and advocating those needs to one of our 3-4 person programming teams. You'll help us to create and stay focused on a reasonable schedule, helping us prioritize the features (and bug fixes) that the customer needs most. Once a solution is implemented, you'll verify that it meets the requirements and communicate the changes to the customer.
- Talk to our customers and learn about their problems.
- Work with a technical team of up to 4 people to think of and document solutions.
- Help the team stay focused on the customer's needs.
- Collect, document, and prioritize feature requests and defects.
- Verify that the implementation meets the specification.

| Requirements: |
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Skilled user of a tool that can be used for creating user interface specs -- Visio, Photoshop, OmniGraffle, a pen and paper.
- Expert user of some piece of software -- programming skills are not required; your job is to advocate for the users, not the programmers.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills -- you'll be working closely with our customers and our team of programmers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and follow-through.
- Permanent legal right to work in the United States.
